These Terms and Conditions cover Advancement International Ltd’s (Mechanicallugs.com) policies regarding sales tax, billing, shipping, packaging, returns, cancellations, claims, warranties, site use, membership accounts, copyrights and trademarks. This policy may be updated or amended at any time. You should check this page periodically to ensure your awareness and understanding of our terms and conditions and any changes.
By visiting mechanicallugs.com, you are accepting the practices of these terms and conditions. This policy works conjointly with our Privacy Policy and the Disclaimer, and comprises the entire agreement between you and Advancement International Ltd. Review these documents to understand your agreement with Advancement International Ltd.
1. Sales Tax
1.1 Mechanicallugs.com will add sales tax or any other tax imposed by law on the sale of any lug or shipping where required.
1.2 For sales in Arizona, California, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, New Jersey, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin, Sales tax is added to all orders shipping to these states. More states may be added as state laws regarding ecommerce sales change.
1.3 Shipments intended for export by the customer, but with a shipping address to a location in the United States of America, are still subject to sales tax in all applicable states, except in the case that the customer can provide documented proof, as listed in 1.3(b), that the goods are committed to export at time of sale. If proof cannot be provided at point-of-sale then sales tax must be paid.
1.4 Sales tax can be refunded post shipment if appropriate documentation is provided to prove tax exemption within 10 days of receipt of invoice.
(a) Domestic shipments must provide a completed tax exemption form for the appropriate Ship to State, back dated to the sale date. (i.e. If your shipment went to California then the form must be a California Tax Exempt form or other documentation as permitted by the state of California)
(b) International (export) shipments must provide a BOL (Bill of Lading) from the export company, with reference to Advancement International Ltd Invoice Number, Manufacturer Part number and quantity, or other appropriate information to link it to a specific shipment from Advancement International Ltd. Advancement International Ltd. reserves the right to refuse refund if the BOL has insufficient information to link it to a specific Advancement order.
1.5 Advancement International Ltd reserves the right to refuse tax exemption in any case that the claim for tax exemption does not have appropriate or complete documentation.
1.6 Any sales found to have been falsely placed with tax exemption will be billed the sales tax retroactively.
1.7 All sales tax charged to you will be submitted to the relevant taxing authority in accordance with tax laws and is not refundable to you by Mechanicallugs.com after it has been submitted to the relevant tax authority.
1.8 Prices do not include VAT, IGP or other export destination country taxes.
2. Credit card Billing and Shipments
2.1 There is no minimum sale. You may order small quantities to sample our products. We are sorry that free samples are not available in order to keep these low factory direct prices.
2.2 Shipments large enough to require pallet/skid shipping, or that ships on a pallet/skid at the request of the customer, must be in “full box” quantities as listed for each product.
2.3 All shipments are F.O.B. Aurora Ohio or Mentor, Ohio. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon delivery to the carrier.
2.4 Shipping delays are beyond the control of LugsDirect.com and we are not responsible
2.5 A $50 minimum administration charge will be added for any credit charge that does not hold up or is retracted or delayed FOR ANY REASON. Any unpaid charges will be financed at 2% per month where permitted and all collection fees including legal costs.
2.6 All payment problems may be referred to the BBB and credit reference agencies. Before reordering all outstanding billing issues must be clear including payment of payment fees and interest. Advancement Interntional Ltd. reserves the right to refuse to sell to anyone with past billing issues or an inadequate credit profile.
2.7 Orders placed and paid for online can be cancelled and refunded at the discretion of Advancement International Ltd should outstanding bills exist on a customer account.
3. Return Goods
3.1 Permission to return goods requires a return authorization. Please confirm the order date and the date shipped.
3.2 Returns without written notice and authorization will incur a 10% processing fee beyond any fees associated with an authorized return.
3.3 The minimum credit value of the material being returned must be $35 or over, except in the case of our packing error.
3.4 Lugs will be considered for return if they have been purchased within 30 days and are in resalable condition, in original packaging and conform to current catalog description and it is a sufficiently active item.
3.5 All goods returned for credit are to be returned freight prepaid by you to the address indicated on the return goods authorization provided by Mechanicallugs.com
3.6 Credit will be issued at the same price at which purchased, less a 25% restocking fee. This credit does not include the cost of shipping.
4. Cancellations
4.1 Cancellation of orders will be accepted only assuming Mechanicallugs.com will charge or deduct for costs resulting from the cancellation. Cancellations cannot be accepted after the parts are shipped. See return and restocking policy above.
4.2 Orders that remain unpaid two weeks after order placement will be automatically cancelled.
4.3 Parts for orders that remain unpaid two weeks after Proforma Invoice receipt can be reallocated to other customers at Advancement’s discretion. Advancement International Ltd cannot be held to original customer ship/due dates for those parts once the two weeks from proforma invoice receipt have passed.
5. Packaging
5.1 Unless otherwise specified, prices quoted include standard Domestic shipping packaging. If special packaging is required, LugsDirect.com must be consulted prior to placing an order.
5.2 UL user torque and wire ranges labels will accompany Listed lugs as appropriate. These end use labels are also available on the web site.
6. Claims
6.1 Claims are subject to the following manufacturing and weight counting considerations:
(a) Weigh counting is accurate to +/- 0.5% and shortage in one box may be made up in another.
(b) Minimum count -0.75% deviation for good piece counts less / dud parts / blemishes / minor shipping damage / loose or missing screws for any reason typically arising from shipping but not rising to the severity a formal insurance claim against shipper. The owner of the shipping account must file the claim.
(c) Total good parts count per shipment, not per box. Some boxes have more some less.
(d) Confirmed seller errors or bad parts in excess of this will be credited, not re-shipped (due to shipping costs.) unless shipping damage which is buyer’s insurance responsibility.
(e) Certified higher accuracy parts counting must be on the PO at the time of order and also the 10% charge for certified higher parts counting. If not, then the tolerances in (a) above are standard.
6.2 Claims for shortages, erroneous charges or price corrections shall be considered void unless made in writing to LugsDirect.com within thirty (30) days of sale.
6.3 Claims for incorrect products require photos of the labels, the products, and the markings on the products sent to sales@lugsdirect.com before they can be addressed.
6.4 Claims against the shipping carrier are to be filed by you as lugs and freight were prepaid by you. Mechanicallugs.com will provide information and assistance to help speed the claim. All damage and missing items must be recorded on the shipping paperwork by you and the delivery truck driver must sign to confirm your statement “damaged” or “missing contents,” etc. to help your shipping loss claim be handled by the carrier.

7.1 All content included on this site, such as text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, data compilations, and software, is the property of Advancement International Ltd or its content suppliers and protected by international copyright laws.
7.2 The compilation of all content on this site is the exclusive property of Advancement International Ltd, with copyright authorship for this collection by Advancement International Ltd, and protected by international copyright laws.
8. Trade Marks
8.1 Advancement International Ltds trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service that is not Advancement International Ltds, in any manner that is likely to cause confusion among customers, or in any manner that disparages or discredits Advancement International Ltd.
8.2 All other trademarks not owned by Advancement International Ltd or its subsidiaries that appear on this site are the property of their respective owners, who may or may not be affiliated with, connected to, or sponsored by Advancement International Ltd or its subsidiaries.
9. License and Site Access
9.1 Advancement International Ltd grants you a limited license to access and make personal use of this site and not to modify it, or any portion of it, except with express written consent of Advancement International Ltd. This license does not include any resale or commercial use of this site or its contents: any collection and use of any product listings, descriptions, or prices: any derivative use of this site or its contents: any downloading or copying of account information for the benefit of another merchant: or any use of data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools.
9.2 This site or any portion of this site may not be reproduced, duplicated, copied, sold, resold, visited, or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose without express written consent of Advancement International Ltd. 11. Warranty for IHI, and other brands sold through the LugsDirect.com Web site:
11.1 Advancement International Ltd. warrants that each electrical lug sold is free from defects and conforms to the standards found on the applicable standards on the standards page. While manufacturing defects are rare, they will occur and consequently defects should be considered in the safety planning and design of all installations by your qualified personnel. Any lug having a visible or suspected defect should not be installed but should be returned for inspection by the manufacturer.
11.2 Any item that is found, within the warranty period of one year from shipment date, not to meet these standards after examination and conformation by the manufacturer, will be repaired or replaced without charge at the manufacturer's option. This warranty applies only if all of the conditions of use have been appropriate and as specified, throughout the warranty period, and that the item has not been subject to overloads and that the item has been installed and used subject to all applicable codes and regulations. liability shall be strictly limited to replacement of defective items and in no event shall AI be liable for any special or consequential damages beyond the original purchase price. The warranties contained herein are made expressly in lieu of any and all other warranties, expressed or implied.
